The Lodge at George T. Bagby State Park is the preferred location for conference groups looking for full-service meeting support in the resort-like setting of a state park. Groups can focus on the business at hand and then relax on the shores of 48,000-acre Lake Walter F. George or practice their golf swing on our 18-hole championship course. Nature trails, a swimming pool, beach, tennis courts, beach volleyball, fishing and boating are just outside each guest room door. The park’s full service marina provides everything available to enjoy an afternoon on the lake! Groups receive outstanding service with a dedicated conference coordinator’s assistance to meeting and event details. Our blend of modern meeting support resources and outstanding recreational opportunities create the perfect combination for small to medium-sized group functions.
The lakeside lodge, Pilot House Grille restaurant and conference center facilities are surrounded by 300-acres of forest, award-winning golf, tennis, pool, beaches and trails. Overnight accommodations include 60 guest rooms, two junior suites perfect for entertaining, and five fully equipped cottages. A choice between traditional hotel rooms or private cottages gives groups options that meet their specific needs. Our 18-hole Meadow Links Golf Course is ready to challenge any golfer. Willard Byrd has artistically woven 18-links-style holes into the gently rolling countryside, giving each its own breathtaking view of the surrounding woodlands. The result is an extraordinary golf experience that’s definitely worth the trip. “Golf Digest” named Meadow Links the “6th best new affordable public course” in the U.S. when it opened in 1998. This ranking, plus our on-site lodge and restaurant, make George T. Bagby State Park and Lodge a great golf destination. Our full-service pro shop features golf accessories, a snack bar and the availability of a golf pro to arrange group or individual golf lessons.

Food and Beverage
On-site, full-service catering is available in the Queen City Hall, with private reception space available for up to 200 people and banquet space for up to 100. Groups also can hold large get-togethers in the park’s open picnic shelter or enclosed group shelter. The Pilot House Grille restaurant, overlooking the 48,000-acre lake, seats up to 169 people for delicious a la carte and buffet-style meals in the main dining room and offers private dining for up to 24 people. For non-planned dining, the lodge’s restaurant is open year-round for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast 7 am - 10 am Daily
